Caroline Tremblay
Caroline Tremblay is born in 1980. She studied the recorder since she was 8 years old. From the age of 13 years old, she is member of the Quatuor Purcell, recorder quartet in her hometown. With this ensemble she plays in many different events, and record a charming Christmas album in 1997. At the age of 18, Caroline moves to Montrיal to focus her studies on music and the performance practice of the recorder with Sophie Lariviטre. In 2000, she is a member of the ensemble Fl�te Alors! who is giving many concerts in the Montrיal area. Later this year, the group goes to Berlin, Germany for a musical exchange of masterclass and concerts organized by her teacher and Matthias Maute.
In 2005 Caroline receive a Bachelor Degree in performance of early music from the University of Montrיal, where she studied the recorder with Francis Colpron. The same year, she reaches a first prize of the Canadian Music Competition, Toronto. Caroline plays now with professional baroque ensembles such as Les violons du Roy, Les Borיades de Montrיal and has been involved as a musician in many special events of Le Cirque du Soleil. She is now about to finish a master degree in performance in which she did one semester at The Jerusalem Academy of Music and Danse, Israel, with Drora Bruck as recorder teacher. Caroline plays also the baroque traverso and the renaissance flute.
