John Baston, (1708–1739)

An English Baroque composer, recorder player and cellist. He performed in his own ‘interval music’ concertos in London; several of these lively pieces were published as Six Concertos in Six Parts for Violins and Flutes (1729).

 

His music:

  1. Concerto for Recorder, Strings and Continuo in G major (for a Consort Flute)
  2. Concerto for Recorder, Strings and Continuo in D major (for a Sixth Flute)
  3. Concerto for Recorder, Strings and Continuo in G major (for a Consort Flute)
  4. Concerto for Recorder, Strings and Continuo in A major (for a Sixth Flute)
  5. Concerto for Recorder, Strings and Continuo in D major (for a Sixth Flute)
  6. Concerto for Recorder, Strings and Continuo in D major (for a Fifth Flute)
